Trip Types:
General Inshore
Our general inshore fishing trips are the most commonly booked trip that we offer. These trips focus on providing our clients with the most opportunities to catch fish. You can expect to target saltwater bass species such as Calico Bass, Barred Sand Bass, Spotted Bay Bass, Barracuda, Bonito, and Sculpin. These trips can involve a combination of live bait fishing and fishing with artificial baits. Prior to the trip date, we will contact the client to create a game plan for the trip.
Halibut Only
The areas around San Pedro and Long Beach Harbor offer some of the best local halibut fishing around. We will spend the day drifting live baits along the sea floor trying to draw a strike from a trophy Halibut. Some of the other species we typically come across while fishing halibut are Sand Bass, Calico Bass, Sculpin, and Rays. This is a slower paced style of fishing; however, it can be very rewarding.
Artificials Only
For those of you who prefer fishing swimbaits, crankbaits, jigs, and any other “no bait” technique, this is the trip type for you. Depending on the time of year and conditions, we may spend the day fishing kelp beds, deep water structure, shallow water structure, break walls, pilings, and everything in between. We will contact you prior to the trip date to discuss the options available based on weather, and fish activity.
Specialized Trip Types:
Kid Friendly Trip
Our kid trips focus on making sure the child has a memorable experience with his/her family. Typically, these trips start with a brief search of marine life like sea lions, harbor seals, porpoises/dolphins, and sea birds while making our way to the fishing spot. All the areas that we fish are inside the protected waters of the harbor, providing a smooth and comfortable day of fishing. As we arrive at our fishing destination, we will go through a quick lesson on the fishing basics with the child and parents. The fishing begins during that lesson and throughout the day we will teach the child about conservation, the species that they catch, as well as answer any question they may have. Laughs and smiles are the priorities on these trips.
Introduction to fishing (children or adults)
Learning the basics of saltwater fishing can be difficult without the proper resources. Join us for a “Introduction to fishing” guide and we will provide everything you need for the day, as well as provide the coaching knowledge we have accumulated over the years. We will spend the first part of the day getting you familiar with the tackle, casting, and bait. Once you are comfortable with the gear and making cast, we will begin targeting inshore species.
