GUIDE TRIP ON YOUR BOAT:
Shortly after you book your guide we will contact you. Let us know which launch ramp or marina you will depart from, and we will meet you there at the designated time.
GUIDE ON OUR BOAT:
We have many launch locations that are utilized depending on what we are fishing for. We will let you know where we will likely be fishing during your trip when you book with us. We will also send you a confirmation email a week prior to your fishing trip and provide the final launch location and meeting time. Any additional pieces of important information or changes in location or meet time will be communicated via email or a phone call prior to meeting your guide at the launch on the day of your trip.

All of our fishing charters are private party fishing trips. This means that your party will be the only people fishing with you on the day of your scheduled trip. We are not an open charter boat and we do not sell seats in order to fill the boat for the day. A guide trip consists of a 2,4, or 6 hour trip and begins at the meeting time. We will take breaks as necessary to ensure everyone is continuously comfortable throughout the day. The Captain will be actively coaching and helping you to catch the fish you are seeking throughout your trip. The Captain will be providing assistance, giving verbal instruction, and demonstrating rigging and angling technique. During your trip, it will be the Captain’s job to help you be as successful as possible by keeping your gear/bait in the water and in front of fish. Paying attention to your Captain’s instruction is a very important element needed for your day of fishing to be a success. At the end of your fishing trip, your Captain will process your catch for transport home. Our goal is to provide an environment for you while on our boats that is safe, stress free, fun, informative, and full of excitement! Your Captain will give you a 100% effort every day and do everything in his power to help you catch fish.

ABSOLUTELY, we love working with families! Captain Steve has two toddlers at home, and knows how a day on the water can make for some of the best family memories!
We will also focus on ensuring that the child catches fish, but more importantly, is having lots of fun.
-
We will provide everything you will need for your time on the water with us. However, you are welcome to bring any of your preferred tackle.

We highly recommend that you take motion sickness medication if you don't spend much time on boats. We recommend Dramamine Less Drowsy, or Bonine.
A benefit to fishing in the Harbor is that typically swells, and rough weather are minimum to mild. This usually makes for a comfortable day of fishing.
If a member of your party feels too ill to continue fishing, we can drop them back off at the dock. The members of the party that feel fine may continue the fishing trip for the remainder of the allotted time.
-
We are typically a 15 minute or less run from our private and very clean marina restrooms. We also have a portable toilet in our enclosed cabin for emergencies.
We highly encourage you use the restroom in advance at the launch ramp or marina, so that it doesn't cut into our fishing time.
-
We maintain a Cancellation Policy that is both fair and reasonable, that is why we require at least 48 hours' notice. Any cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance will have the ability to reschedule their reservation for a later date. Cancellation with no advanced notice (the day of the guide) will lose their deposit.
BAD WEATHER – Strategic Fishing wants to make sure your fishing experience is both memorable and completely satisfactory, but nothing we might catch out there is worth your safety. Your safety is paramount, we will not fish in any weather that will put myself or my clients in any danger such as a torrential downpour, heavy winds, any lightning, or heavy fog. Any cancellations due to weather will be rescheduled to a later date convenient for both the customer and guide.

We understand that sometimes things don't go as planned, unfortunately we may have trips scheduled after yours. Any delay on your part will reduce fishing time from your trip.
